🏆 DOUBLE CHAMPS! TN HEAT Varsity Premier and 14U Take Home Titles at the St. Louis Tip Off Tourny

The Tennessee Heat basketball program made a powerful statement to start the season, bringing home two championship titles from the St. Louis Tip Off Tournament this past weekend. Both the Boys Varsity Premier and 14U Boys JV teams dominated their divisions and finished the weekend as tournament champions.

The 18U Varsity Premier team set the tone early with commanding Division 1 wins over Oklahoma Flame (74–32) and Springfield RUSH (86–57) before delivering a statement victory in the championship game — a 59–50 rout over MHEA, last year’s national champions. The Heat's defensive pressure and balanced scoring attack overwhelmed their rivaled opponents, proving that this year’s squad is a serious contender on the national stage.  Coach Joe Bond concluded, "What a great experience at Tip-Off STL! Our teams hope to continue to the momentum as we start regular season action in the coming weeks." 

Not to be outdone, the 14U Boys JV also powered their way to a perfect weekend in the Division 2 bracket. They opened with a gritty 32–24 win against the Missouri Warriors, followed by a strong 59–40 victory over the Royal Hurricanes. In the championship matchup, the young Heat team rose to the occasion with a 53–39 win over MHEA, sealing their spot atop the tournament bracket.

“This was a complete team effort. I was especially proud of how we shared the ball on offense and created great looks through unselfish play and smart decision-making,” said Coach Jeremy Resmer. 

The Heat's season is off to a blazing start — and momentum is only building from here.
