Football
The Tennessee HEAT Football Program delivers a dynamic, Christ-centered football experience for homeschooled student-athletes, beginning in 8th grade and continuing through their high school careers. Our program is designed for competitors who want to pursue excellence on the field while boldly representing Jesus Christ in character, conduct, and leadership in every arena of life.
Located in Wilson County, Tennessee HEAT provides homeschooled athletes from across Middle Tennessee with access to high-level coaching, competitive schedules, and a committed football community. Through the platform of athletics, our vision is for HEAT athletes to build lifelong friendships, experience genuine camaraderie, ignite school spirit, and grow through the powerful life lessons that only team sports can provide.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does it cost to participate?
Each team sets their own player participation fees based on various factors. Fees for the season are $800. Financial aid is available for families that need it for their child to play. Fees can be paid in full upon rostering, or they can be split up in monthly payment plans.
Are there extra fees in addition to player participation fees?
Families should anticipate travel costs as well as gate fees to games.
My child is a beginner. Is Tennessee HEAT right for him?
Yes, Tennessee HEAT can be a great fit for beginners, with the understanding that it is a highly competitive program. For athletes who are eager to learn the game, are committed to being coachable, and recognize that playing time is earned and not guaranteed, HEAT Football provides a strong environment for growth and development.
How often does each team practice?
Tryouts and Spring pre-season practices are May 11-15 and 18-22 (from 4-6pm).
Regular season practice begins July 9 (4-6:15pm) and runs until the beginning of November.
When are games typically held?
Games are on Friday nights. Occasionally a game will be on Saturday. A tournament in Florida is available for the top teams in the country; that decision will be made near end of season.
Do you have pre-season training opportunities and practices?
Players are expected to workout and train on their own during the off season. We provide workout plans for each player for weights and conditioning.
How many kids are on each team, and does each one receive equal playing time?
We don’t have a limit to the amount of kids available to be on the team. Because we are a competitive program, kids are not guaranteed equal playing time during games.
